GTM Change Audit is a Chrome extension that helps users review unpublished Google Tag Manager workspace changes before publishing.
GTM Change Audit uses Google OAuth authentication and requests read-only access to Google Tag Manager data. This may include Google Tag Manager accounts, containers, workspaces, tags, triggers, variables, workspace status, published container versions, and related configuration data.
This data is used solely to provide the extension's change-review functionality, including identifying unpublished changes, analyzing dependencies, and showing potential downstream impact.
GTM Change Audit does not operate a backend server for analyzing or storing Google Tag Manager configuration data. Analysis is performed locally in the user's browser.
The extension communicates directly with Google services over HTTPS for authentication and to retrieve Google Tag Manager data.
GTM Change Audit does not sell user data.
GTM Change Audit does not transfer user data to third parties except as necessary to communicate with Google services for authentication and Google Tag Manager API access.
User data is not used for advertising, profiling, creditworthiness, lending, or purposes unrelated to the extension's single purpose.
Google authentication tokens are used only to authorize read-only Google Tag Manager API requests required by the extension.
GTM Change Audit does not maintain a developer-operated database containing users' Google Tag Manager configuration data.
Exported review files are created only when the user explicitly chooses to export them and are saved by the browser to the user's device.
GTM Change Audit's use and transfer of information received from Google APIs complies with the Chrome Web Store User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
